Happy Halloween using some Halloween colors

Halloween is upon us..Can you believe it..The summer went too fast and now we are at the holidays. I am not ready for this yet. I don't even remember the warm air any more. I used some of my Halloween colors today of course. This is as far as I am going for dressing up...Here is what I did..

Eyes:
UDPP
Nyx jumbo eye pencil in yellow on lid and blended with my finger
Over that I applied Glamour Doll Eyes in Orange Crush
Over that I lightly applied Meow's Necromancer and I took it almost to the brow bone
I then applied Make Up For Ever No. 3 which is a matte bone color
Then under the outer brow brow I applied Meow's Broken Mirror
Under inner brow bone all the way down to the inner eye I used Meow's Spellbinding
I lightly blended all these colors together
I lined top lash line with Mac's Grease paint stick in Black and also to the lower outer lash line
The inner lower lash line I applied Nyx jumbo eye pencil in yellow
Then I smudged the liner
The bottom inner I applied Broken Mirror and the outer lower and top of lash line I applied Nars Night Breed...I then smudged that color also
Dior Black Out Mascara

Face:
Dior Air Flash foundation
About Face cream concealer
Illamasaqua Metal Powder lightly dusted on face
Mac On A Mission blush
Meow Top Cat finishing powder

Lips:
About Face cream concealer
Meow Top Cat finishing powder
Aromaleigh Shortcake color creme
Topped with Mac Glimmerglass Blackware.

It looks so pretty in natural light. These are some fantastic Halloween colors....I was going to pick up Meow's Halloween colors but I dropped too much on my Nars Palette but I love it. I know most of us prefer the minerals but I love to get Limited Edition collections from traditional lines of makeup that I like also. I didn't see anything from Mac's holiday collection that I liked so I will pass but the Nars and Dior have some beautiful colors. I buy them when there is incentives or friends and family. Good way to save....So what Halloween colors will you be wearing today? Have fun and stay safe....

Mac Young Punk

Today's look was inspired by a blog post by A Brilliant Brunette. I wanted to see a different way to use Young Punk and I came across her idea. I did the basic concept but then went crazy adding more to it. So any way here is what I did...

Eyes:
UDPP
Nyx jumbo pencil in milk on inner half of lid and I used Black grease paint stick by Mac on the outer half and just blended them into the crease area.
On the inner half of lid I applied a pink color from my Harajukuhunnies Cherry Blossom Quadriset
On outer half I applied Mac's Young Punk.
I blended them a little into crease to smooth out.
I went back over the inner corner with Mac Stars n Rockets
Crease I used Mac Beauty Marked and blended
Highlight I used Mac Bisque and under brow bone Mac Dazzlelight
Then to add just a little more drama I used my new Nars Limited Editon Palette in Day and Night limited to Sephora
I used Night Breed in crease which is a sparkly black
Back over highlight I used Abyssina which is a matte flesh tone and a little of Fathom which is a pretty sparkly pink beige color. A very lovely set of colors and so easy to blend it is amazing....
I lined top and bottom with the grease paint stick.
Went over bottom lower lash line with Young Punk and the inner is Stars n Rockets over NyX milk pencil
Dior Black Out Mascara

Face:
Smashbox Primer
Mac Studiofix foundation
Mac On A Mission Blush
Meow Top Cat Finishing Powder

Lips:
Mac Night Violet lipstick
In middle of top and bottom of lips I applied Benefit lipstick in Lana

I hope I haven't overwhelmed but I just seem to keep adding as I go along....I really do think Young punk was a great addition to add to my Mac collection...I hope you enjoyed this look...Have a great night!!!

I just couldn't decide!!!

Well I thought that today I was going to go for a two shadow look. It started out that way but didn't end that way...I just kept adding and adding and believe it or not at first I was disappointed in the look but after awhile I really liked it....So here is my mess of shadows I used today...

Eyes:
UDPP
Lightly dusted Aromaleigh fawn from brow to lid
Inner eye I used Aromaleigh imperial
Rest of eye Aromaleigh fragile charms
I went back over the outer crease with Meow Fruitcake
Applied Aromaleigh ephemeral violet over half of lid
lined both lash lines with UD zero liner and then applied crimson mimicry over that
inner I used ephemeral violet
I decided it wasn't working so I added more....
I added a little bit of the crimson mimicry to outer part of lid and then dusted the whole eye with Meows Spellbinding
I then went over the lashlines with UD glitter liner in midnight cowboy
Finally I was happy....
Dior Blackout Mascara

Face:
Meow Foundation
About Face Concealer
Meow Lushblush in Kitty Love
Meow Top Cat Finishing powder

Lips:
Aromaleigh Sugar Plum Fairy Balm
Aromaleigh Shortcake lip creme
OCC lip tar in Katrina

At first I said no no no...but when I put my glasses on I was satisfied with how it came out....I just kept adding and I was pretty happy with the end results....

Aromaleigh Rock Bottom

Ok...the other day I did a nice look using Aromaleigh's Rock Bottom...Love that color...This was a couple days ago and I don't know what I used exactly so I will wing this..I liked the pictures and didn't want to waste them so here goes my guess...

I really like the lashes in this picture..Sorry I lost my marbles but I wanted to show you the lashes and rock bottom....I put the products away before I did this post....Have fun looking anyway....The crease may be a Meow Halloween color I believe...

Simple She Space..

Today I went thru my many samples and I decided to use some of my She Space Colors....These are some nice soft colors that I thought worked well together....I ordered from the big sale so that is what prompted me to get these samples out...I always tend to forget about my samples for some reason....

Crease I used She Space One thousand fairies and Royalty in training
Highlight She Space Stopping Traffic
Lid She Space Charisma Crisis

This blended pretty well and left a soft look...I am really loving dark eyes right now but I figured I better do something soft for today....I hope you like it....

Glamour Doll Eyes Halloween colors

Well I tried to do a look with the new Glamour Doll Eye Halloween colors. To much avail I crashed and burned. I really had to work hard to get this to come out at least ok....I had to get out my friend Aromaleigh to fix this look up....Not really thrilled with it....The colors are a lot of black...I had black everywhere....The glitter is very glittery...I tried to wet line and it crumbled all over the place so I suggest laying down black eyeliner first and then applying the glitter. Works much better....Killer ego is black with orange glitter and I used it in my crease...disaster....I didn't see the orange in the color....anyway...this is what I ended up with....

Eyes:
UDPP
Lid Glamour Doll Eye orange crush
Crease Glamour Doll eye Killer Ego
Monster Mash wetlined on top...really glittery made a huge mess
Urban Trash on lower lashline...
Went back over top lash line with UD 24/7 liner and then reapplied Monster Mash...worked much better.
I also blended the orange color up into and over the crease to give it some color. I ended up going over lid with Aromaleigh Velvetgoldmine and into crease with it too...
Highlight was Aromaleigh Marigold...
Lower inner corner of eye is Velvetgoldmine
I also used Aromaleigh Twilight powder around the eyes...
Dior black out mascara
I did so much blending....Yowza!!!

Face:
Illamasaqua light liquid foundation
About face mineral foundation over that
Aromaleigh Twilight Powder on cheeks and actually a little all over(Lustre)
Aromaleigh Verve blush

Lips:
Aromaleigh Tantalize Gloss Infusion

Oh my gosh...I really had a hard time with this....I don't do so well with black pigments...There is so much fall out and then so much cleanup it takes forever....I am sure the more talented makeup gals with pull this off with out a hitch...Me not so much....The colors are good but to hard for me to work with....I can't wait to see other peoples looks with this....

If I look a little pale remember I did use the Twilight powder.....Pictures came out yucky today too...Sorry...

Its been awhile!!!!

I want to start off saying Hello to everyone. I haven't posted in awhile. With school starting and house work and lunches and etc. being a mom is over ruling my fun time. Makeup is still my love and fun but I haven't had time to post a look. I have gotten so many new things. Some are good and others not really. All my mineral items I have gotten have been a big hooray....more traditional not good enough...Can you believe it. I have so many new shades from Miss K's Les Papillons collection to try but with Halloween coming I dived right into the Halloween collections that came out. I used a few from Meow today...So lets get to it!!!! P.S. I had only 3 colors in mind to work with and I progressed into a whole lot more....

Eyes:
UDPP
Lid Aromaleigh Dormant Dream from the Les Papillons
Crease 13 from Meow Friday the 13th collection
Outer corner of eye blended into crease Meow Asylum from the Halloween collection
To blend out the crease I used Meow's Cat Eyes in Bitchy
Went under brow bone with Aromaleigh Be Mine from the 2009 Valentine Collection
I went back over the brown bone and down to crease and corners of eyes with Glamour Doll Disco White
I lined my eyes top and bottom and even some of the bottom of the water line with UD 24/7 Zero
Went over bottom line again with Meow's Necromancer and blended it out (from Halloween collection)
Dior Black out Mascara
I did a lot of blending

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss 2 Frisky Sphynx foundation
Blush Meow Lushblush in Liason
Finishing powder Meow Primp and Preen Top Cat Finishing Powder
I also used under eyes concealer from About Face

Lips:
Concealer
Mac Angel lipstick
A little bit of a pinkish lipgloss by NYC

This look is a lot of work. It turned out better than I thought. I wasn't sure I really liked it or not but the pictures really bring it to life. I love it. The eyes are darker than usually for me.

I so want to use mineral foundation. I tried meow again so we will see if I break out. Do you think this color looks good on me. I actually think it turned out pretty good....

I want to find the magical blending brush. I get tired of putting so much effort into the blending. Is there such a brush? If so please clue me in. I love using the cute fiber optic brush for eyes from Aromaleigh. That is really the brush I am always reaching for....I have been using it to blend to also....Has anyone else tried the Halloween colors. These are from this years collection. I have last years too from Meow and they are amazing and I do try to get them out as much as possible....Great product from Meow....
