I really like these colors. They are not as bold as my others but I still think they give off great color. I am really happy with how my foundation came out. My skin looks so nice for a change.
I got so sick of my brows. I was suppose to have an appt. today but I said screw it and did it myself. Which saved me 20.00 to buy more eyeshadows.
I bought Tinker Belle and Peter Pan from DreamWorld Minerals.
I also have been looking for a facial scrub but haven't found anything to my liking. I had purchased some cleansing oil from Etsy a while ago. I love it. I use it a couple of times a week for a deep cleanse. So last night I used it with some brown sugar and made a scrub for my face and wow did it come out so soft. I was really glad I tried it.
What kind of homemade skin care products have you tried if any? Do you like the Meow Colors?

Beaute' lip gloss in Skin Trade
The Beaute' lip gloss is great but very expensive. I really like it...It is 26.00 a tube though and it moisturizes and hydrates, plumps and shapes, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, protects and defines surface areas....I think the only way to get it on line is thru the site but it is in Canada..It is available at the Ritzy Salons in California...I like it but won't buy again...Too expensive.
Anyway I so love my greens...I also used a little green glitter on the bottom lash line that I had purchased from sephora. It is a gel and it works really nice....So sorry to bore with the greens but I love them....

Face
Ok....I know that I don't have a perfect complexion or nor will I ever but why are we so obsessed with using at least 5 to 6 products on our face to make us try to look perfect...2 kinds of primer then foundation then concealer, then powder, then bronzer then a little more loose powder...I mean wholly heck that is so much work to me it drives me crazy....Then it is onto the eyes...I mean good gravy....I think that is so much to use on the face. What do you ladies think....
My normal is foundation, concealer, blush, finishing powder....Once in a while a highlighter or bronzer but not daily....sorry for the rampage!!! I am not trying to offend any one but why do you do it?
The She Space Special Colors
Two of the colors I am wearing are from the She Space for the Cystic Fibrosis in honor a little boy called Christopher. I thought it was a nice gesture and for 9.00 for two shades you can't go wrong and a portion goes to the Cystic Fibrosis fund.
Colors
Happy Birthday Chris deep cocoa brown with color changing mica's
Live in Color neutral taupe with layers of light reflection color changing pigments
56 Palette a burgundy
Eyes:
Primer
Lid Happy Birthday Chris
Crease was a burgundy like color from my 56 palette
Highlight was Live in Color
Lined upper lid with a brown shadow from my 56 palette wet
Lined bottom lash line with a dark bluish and aqua from the 56 palette
Revlon Black mascara
Face:
Revlon colorstay
Rimmel matte translucent powder
Pink blush from my 56 Pallet
Bare Minerals Bisque for concealing
Lips:
Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips in Bunny gloss
I know my colors are a pain. The palettes do not have names for the colors. That is one down side. The colors are super pigmented and last all day though so that is good.
I really like The She Space products. I think they are really nice but you do have to use a lot of product to get good color payoff. I ordered some samples from the spring line and she has some grab bags right not from retired lines...I got The Storyteller people...I think...These colors are really bright. I did the 5 for 20.00. She picks the colors but all were nice.
I have been using a lot of drugstore product too and am trying to use stuff up that I have because I don't want to waste them....So I hope it turned out ok...Not sure what tomorrow will bring...Do you ever say Gees I have so much makeup that I can't decide what to use and get frustrated? I been doing this everyday...... Right now I am frustrated because I need my eyebrows waxed...I think I need to go every 3 weeks..They grow in so fast it is disgusting and she was going to have me go longer...I don't think so....

Well......
Today my look didn't come out the way I wanted so I won't be posting any looks...I tried using cornflower which is by Aromaleigh and a pretty shade of blue...thing is is that it is a matte. I used on my lid and did not like it at all....
The colors I used were all Aromaleigh
Cornflower
Destinationunknown (favorite)
Moon
I guess I am not a matte girl...need sparkle....I don't know what I was thinking...but oh well...It is not disastrous just something I don't like...

I love how vibrant this turned out. It is even brighter outside. It seems to be wearing really well. I will know by the end of the day if it really stays. It went on easy but I did have to pack my brush with color. It did seem to blend easily without removing the product. So, I do like these. I have some samples coming from her limited edition line. So I hope I will like them too...
What do you think of these colors?
Today
My order from The She Space came yesterday...I wore some of the shadows today. I took pictures and will try and post later today. I have to take my daughter to get her prom dress fitted and get it altered. The dress was a small fortune but it is the first and last prom for her so it has to be special. So I guess I have to give a little...What we don't do for our children...

Foundation application
Yesterday I was reading one of my favorite blogs which is mizzchievouz.blogspot.com. She was doing her youtube video on foundation application, contouring, highlighting etc. I learned some great tips from her. It was a great tutorial. I went back to my Liquid Colorstay foundation but I used the stippling method to apply. I will tell you that worked great. It took a lot longer to apply but it came out nice and even. I did her highlighting and powder tricks also today. Not as good as her she is gorgeous. She said to use finishing powder last but only where needed. Don't do the whole face because you spend so much time highlighting, contouring and etc. that you don't want it all covered up and to use a small fluffy brush. These techniques worked out great so if you are interested visit her blog and youtube site. There is a link on my blog page.
So here is my look for today.....

More Orange!!!!!
I so love orange so I am using another dreamworld color that I got.....The other colors are ones that I have used before and really love....Of course more green and orange.....Here goes..
Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Lid Dreamworld Pumkin Dust
Crease Aromaleigh Sonic Rocks shadowoflove
Highlight MAD minerals multiuse color 01 kinda a pinky beige color a little shimmer but seems more matte.
Outer vee is Aromaleigh Severina
Black liner on top lash line
Bottom inner corner is the Pumkin Dust
Bottom outer was Pumkin Dust and went over that with Fyrinnae Painted Roses which is an orange and so pretty....
I also used NYX jumbo pencil in yellow on bottom lash line to hold the colors
Black Mascara top and bottom
Face:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
Mary Kay pressed powder in beige
Revlon blush in Honey Bunch
Lips:
Burt's Bees lip shimmer in Merlot....It smells so good
I did try to use Dreamworld minerals in Never Sea on the outer vee but it didn't stay...I had used my MAC 224 brush to blend and it took it right off....So there needs to be a good base for it to stick....maybe next time I will try it wet...I usually use my MAC charged water to wet my brush......Actually I used Severina wet for the vee.....I like how it all turned out....The Pumkin is really a pretty orange.....I am still loving the DreamWorld Minerals.....I have a few more to try....Peter Pan is a really neat looking green....maybe tomorrow I will try it....So enjoy....

Nails
I am so envious of all you nail girls....I used to always do my nails and get them done but I can't find the time to do them and then all that time spent I end up ruining them....but after seeing all of Vanessa's polishes I decided to do my nails today...Keep in mind that I am not as good as you guys but it turned out pretty good for me....so here is what I used.....
Sally Hansen Double Duty base and top coat....I only used this as the base coat
Then I applied Sinful Colors in Scandal which is a creamy pink
I applied 2 coats of the polish
I then applied inm OutThe Door Super Fast Top Coat...I had picked this up at Sally's back in November when I bought some holiday polish....I really like this top coat..it does dry quickly.
The polish I picked up at Walgreens before Easter for a couple dollars...
I have used one other Sinful Color polish before called Show me the way a beautiful green and it seemed to last quite a while for me...I am always washing dishes and scrubbing and house things and I don't use gloves so this polish did last for a good while...It was hard to get off but it was pretty....
So there is my attempt at nails.......
Another DreamWorld Day
So today I used some more of my DreamWorld Minerals and all I can say is wow....Another amazing mineral company....I really love what I have tried so far. I will say again that they are so easy to blend without blending off the color. So great!!!! So here goes the look....
Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
DreamWorld Mineral Surfs Sup Smurfs on lid
DreamWorld Mineral Tiger Lily in crease
DreamWorld Mineral Chariot of Fire to highlight
Stila black eyeliner on top lash line
DreamWorld Surfs Sup Smurfs on inner corner of bottom lash line
DreamWorld Tiger Lily on outer bottom of lashline with a little touch of Surfs Sup Smurfs on bottom outer too
Revlon black mascara
Face:
Maybelline age rewind concealer
Revlon colorstay foundation
Luminere silk finishing powder
Revlon blush in Honey Bunch
Lips:
Mac plushglass in Big Kiss
I did apply Nyx jumbo eye pencil in pots and pans to lower lash line so that the minerals would adhere nicely.
I really love the colors...so rich and vibrant....I am loving everything I tried....The only thing I have trouble with is opening the little baggies....some are a little harder than others to open and my hands don't work as well as they used to...but the struggle is worth it....The product is great...
One other thing.......Do any of you have problems with mineral foundation breaking you out....I have been not using any mineral foundation to see if that has been my breakout issue...That is why I have been using traditional foundation as of late....You would think that that would be the issue but so far so good....
Have a good day and I hope you like my colors for the day.....

Neverland
My sample order came yesterday from DreamWorld Minerals....I got the whole sample set of the NeverLand Collection...I so love vivid colors....Here is what I used today...
Eyes:
TSS
Tinker Belle on lid
Neverberry in crease
NeverNight outer vee and into crease
Aromaleigh Flaxen to Highlight
Lined upper lash line with a blue generic liner from Walgreens
Bottom outer lash line with Never Seas
Bottom inner lash line with Tinker Belle
Black mascara by Revlon
Face:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Aromaleigh Metamorphisis finishing powder
Cheeks Mac Sweetness blush
Lips Revlon Creme de la Chrome in berry flashy
I did also use a NYX jumbo pencil in yellow under lower lashline so the minerals would stick well.....
I have also been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfecter for concealer and highlighting...It seems to work pretty well.
These minerals went on smoothly and didn't loose their intensity while blending. I really liked that because sometimes I tend to over blend. They blend nicely also and the colors to me look so bold and vibrant. I really like these shadows...We shall see how they hold out during the day but I am happy with these colors.
I have more of the collection to try so I will be using this brand again tomorrow and coming up with another Never Land look....
I can't believe how fast my brows are coming in..I just had them don a couple of weeks ago and my appt. isn't til the end of the month...How gross is that...So please look past the brows...
Let me know how you like my look today and have a great Friday...

Revlon Colorstay
Ok.....today I felt like wearing traditional foundation....The weather is nice today but only temporarily so I went out to mow the lawn....needed it so bad....I have dogs and those big tall spots were driving me crazy...Anyway.....I always have to do my makeup...even if I am going to get dirty or whatever...cannot go without....So I put this foundation to the test......I used Prescriptives foundation brush for liquid makeup...A very nice brush....I applied quickly because it seems to dry pretty fast....then I blended it with my fingertips along the jawline to make sure it was blended in...This formula is for combination oily...I have combo skin....It was only in the sixties but I was sweating because it is a lot of work to push mow...I don't have an electric push...It is just a gas mower...I have been out all day and this foundation looks untouched...Looks like I just put it on...So it is true...It is stay put....I do like this foundation....It is Revlon Colorstay 240 Medium Beige for combo oily....It really does work....
Also today in the mail I got my dreamworld samples so I will be testing those out tomorrow....Has anyone tried the ColorStay if so do you like it?

Looking for Ideas
First off I hope all had a good holiday...We sure did...We ate so much good food....It was great!!!
So anyway I am looking for some decorating ideas. I want to do my bedroom in black and red...but first I want a picture to work off of...any suggestions? I am not sure where to go for a picture? There is actually one that I like from the Art Institute in Chicago...some famous picture I am not sure.... I have seen prints in Michael's but then you have to get them framed...that can get expensive and I am a cheapo....trust me....so any way suggestions would be great......
I am hitting a makeup road block...Just like all of you I have so much I think that I get overwhelmed believe it or not....I just don't know what to wear....I think I am not doing a good job coming up with color combos right now....I keep feeling as if I keep repeating....some combo ideas would be great to if anyone has any....
I am also thinking about having my hair colored...I think next month I am going to do the whole thing...cut color and style of course....In a rut....It is spring and it sure doesn't feel like it...
It is in the 40's and raining...It is just starting to wear me down...I don't think we are ever going to get nice around here....this has been the longest winter that I can imagine here in Illinois and I have lived here all my life....So right now I am just trying to stay warm and needing some suggestions......

My take on Mac's Hello Kitty Too Dolly Quad
I do own the Too Dolly Quad but I love pigments so much more so I wanted to see if I could do a comparable with Fyrinnae colors so here is what I came up with:
Eyes:
Primer
Fyrinnae Looking Glass on lid....I applied it a little lighter in inner half and a little darker on outer half.
Crease Fyrinnae Kitten in heels....into vee also blended then reapplied
Highlight Fyrinnae Finnigans Wake (one of my staples)
Lined top lash black
Bottom inner Finnigans Wake, middle Looking Glass, outer Kitten in Heels
Then went over bottom lash line outer corner with Mac's Statley Black
Black mascara
Face:
Mac Studio Fix powder foundation in NW25
Silk finishing powder
Aromaleigh Verve blush
Lips:
Mac lip liner in Cranapple on entire lip
Topped lips with Mac Cremesheen Glass in Petite Indulgence
I really think this look came out very comparable to the Mac Quad and cost very less money because all the Fyrinnae is samples which will last forever....Their products are great and so worth trying...The samples are huge....Love love love it....So I highly recommend them...You can pull off all sorts of looks....Have a great day!!!!!!!!
One more thing....Has anyone used artist brushes to apply shadows...I have about 4 and for some reason I have been using them alot lately....They only cost me a couple of dollars at Michaels and they work really well....Just a thought if you need good brushes on a budget....

My take on pinup look
I love the pin up looks but I just can't pull the red lips off well enough for me so I found a pin up look using pinks...this is a soft look and it is so pretty in person...I can't capture looks very well...Can't use a camera but here is what I did....
Eyes:
Primer
Aromaleigh Fawn matte shadow on whole eye
Lid Stila Kitten....this a pretty pink beige shimmer
Crease Aromaleigh Coco Bean
Aromaleigh Marsh Carolina Summer Matte to blend out coco bean
I lined a little heavier with Stila black eyeliner
I just used Marsh again under the lower lash line and a little kitten on inner lash line
Black Mascara
Face:
Bare Minerals multi tasking bisque
Aromaleigh Glissade 3WL
Silk Finishing powder
Mac Sweetness Cheek Color
Lips:
Aromaleigh Lip Balm Sugar Plum Fairy
Mac B Babe
Fyrinnae Visual Kei
I really like the softness...I usually use a lot of color on the eyes so this is so much softer.....I really like it.....Have any of you tried this look before...Any pin up looks? What did you use?
Today is a preschool day but last for Easter Break so running around today of Course...Hope you have a happy day!!!

Primer

crease Fyrinnae R.C. Illicit Passion
highlight Pure Luxe Divine
lined top with black liner

to keep the shadow looking a little neater I use scotch tape on the outer edges of my eyes so that I would stay in the lines...that is a really handy trick..It works great!!!

The shadow I found that is similar is Fyrinnae We're All Mad Here
Lime Criminal has the best color payoff and is so vivid. I did use a base as I always do with pigments....So I would like to try more from the Lime Crime collection....I really do like the color payoff in this shadow.....
www.limecrimemakeup.com is the link. Go and check these out...The website is full of information and some tutorials.
