Excercise...
Hey everyone!! Hope you all had a great Christmas! I am not loving the snow. It has been so cold and snowy here that it is depressing. We have been having January weather. Maybe by February we will get some warm weather. Wishful thinking I would have to say. Just placed my first order from Evil Shades. Lip colors...blue and black....hoping to get my hair done purple and teal in a few weeks...I guess I am going wild...but anyway. I was really into fitness and walking in the summer. To pass this horrible winter I decided to make the best of it and keep on walking. I splurged on expensive Under Armour gear and good Merrell shoes and it has actually been great. I get up in the morning and go out around 7 am. This morning was only 7 degrees but I made it through. I must be doing something right because I have gotten a lot of comments and good ones...Also makes my energy level go up and I feel really good. Now the hardest part is the eating..Trying to be good. I think I need my own chef....One thing at a time. How about everyone else? Any excercising going on? My next adventure is this week. My middle fingers are getting ring tattoos...Excited!!!Have a good night everyone!!!!

I got my newest addition!!!
Well I said that I was getting a tattoo and I did it....My friend and I had such a blast..I haven't laughed that much in a long time...I wanted to get a cross. I think they look so cool. We went to a shop about a half an hour away in a small town....Then headed to a small bar for dinner and few drinks...fun fun time...She got eagles wings on the back of her neck in memory of her first husband who passed away a long time ago. So, very cool...Obviously I let her go first....I told her to get ready to make lots of friends cause I tend to attract some real treats....So while I was waiting this guy came in. I thought he looked homeless but apparently he wasn't. We had a lot of snow yesterday so I wore my fancy guess snow boots that have patchwork design on them. This guy told me he thought my boots were sweet and asked if they had chrome on them...I don't think so...just material...he was loving them...I probably could of sold them to him....weirdo....any way the night was fun....looking forward to doing it again sometime...so here a couple pics. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.....

Time....
Where in the world did time go? Summer was so fantastic for me this year. I was really into exercising and being outside and walking in 90 degree weather and now all of a sudden I feel I have lost myself. We are in the holidays and I am so not excited this year. Very down...I have totally got away from the things I love to do...read, blog, exercise and my makeup..Things I have never done before I have done like forgetting things...My oldest daughter is away at school and I do miss her. I think her drama actually kept me sane in some odd way..My little one is in first grade this year and last year I had so much fun volunteering and this year not so much...Maybe it is just something I am going thru that will turn around. I just don't know. I have really been trying but still can't keep my head up...Now I do have a couple of things planned that I am really looking forward too. Hanging out with my best friend who I haven't got to spend a lot of time with. We are going to get tattoos tomorrow night. Actually add to the ones we have. It is suppose to snow but that will not stop us. No way. Then in February for my bd we are heading to San Antonio Texas for a few days to see a rodeo and the band Train perform. I have always wanted to see some bull riding in person and to see Texas. We are looking forward to this..Maybe that will keep me going. I sure hope so...My family is healthy and that is important. As far as I know I am too...So, I sure hope to get over this hump and get back to normal. Wish me luck....
A few of my favs at the moment
Wow I have been missing for a while. I need to get back into the swing of things....Need to concentrate and focus on the things I love...starting now!!! So, here are a few things I have been using daily. Absolutely love these items....Lets start!!!
First up Mac Reelers and Rockers....White Rabbit, Melt my heart, Carbon, Family Treasures, Gaelic Gold, Crown and Sceptre...I can't say anything but I love it. These are colors that are classic for me. I wear these daily and they look so great with red lips...This is a great palette to pick up. Colors you can use daily...
Next is Victoria's secret Spellbound Palette...This one is great too. Beautiful colors that last all day...You can go neutral or really drama it up. The liner is too dry I think so I use it but darken it up with a shadow. This one I use daily also....
Then I needed mascara. I usually use Dior but need to watch my money and Dior is around 30.00 a tube...ouch..So I picked up Mac Zoom Fast Black Lash...This is great. Really black and doesn't clump. I can keep building and no fall out or flaking and clump free...Great product.
Lastly...I am always looking for a red lip color. I seem to like a gloss better than a lipstick. I have read some blogs or tweets about Mac Russian Red...saying that anyone can wear this red and it is so true. This is an amazing red. I absolutely love this. I got it in the lipglass.....love love love....hot hot hot.....
So, these are items I have been using on a daily basis....Great products....Does anyone else have any favorites right now...Lets hear!!!!

Sunday look
I have not had a whole lot of time to play with makeup lately....at least do any more detailed looks so today I thought I would try. I used Mad Minerals for this look. Eyes
UD primer potion
Nyx jumbo pencil in milk on lower lid
Inner corner of eye Mad Minerals in wedding
Middle of lid I used Mad Wild Life
Outer lid Mad Illegal

Essence pretty funky
Yesterday I just so happened to go to Ulta probably for the 3rd time in a week....I need a moisturizer for night time and I ended up getting Hope in a jar from Philosophy...stinky stuff but for night time who cares. I have gotten decent results from it before so I wanted to use it again...anyway I ended up looking at makeup...I really love Aromaleigh's tarnished stychnine from the Victoria's revenge collection but it is all sold out so I ended up getting essence eye shadow in pretty funky looks pretty close and it was only 2.99. Eyes

crease essence shadow in pretty funky
highlight Aromaleigh Rosina

Lined upper lash line with UD liner in Zero
Bottom lash line was a little UD Haight and Radium and lower inner bottom lash line was Mac Dazzlelight
Mascara top and bottom Dior in black
The UD colors are from the new Book of Shadows III...really great book of colors...
Face

Cheeks Dior blush in Harmonie
Lightly dusted face with Mac Belightful iridescent pressed powder. I tried to tap out a lot of the glitter...

Leather cuff bracelets that we made....
My husband does some belt work but we decided to come up with an idea for cuff bracelets. I love cuffs. You can wear them with anything...These cuffs are leather and holes are hand punched for the snaps. Everything is done by hand....Now, the one that is brown with the double black cross is mine. I have double snaps on that just because I like the look of that....The black one is my daughters and hers is a single snap with a different cross on it. We are going to be doing some up here. The leather we will be using is the basketweave leather as shown in the picture. It will be dyed black or brown and the regular cross is going to be applied. Double or single snapped. Now if anyone is interested please let me know. I would need a wrist size...color and if you want the black cross I will order a bunch. Right now since I am just starting I just have the reg. cross. You can email me at jj9103@aol.com....Thanks for looking....

Surprise ending!!!
Have you ever had those days where you have some colors in mind but you just keep adding to them. That is what I did today and this is what happened. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The best look I have done in a while. I am very pleased. Now I will try and remember what I used.
Eyes
Mac painterly paint pot
lid Mac creme De violet
crease Illamasqua Jules
lightly went over lid again wit Illamasqua purple color...can't read the name
highlight with Illamasqua in immortal
brought immortal into corner of eyes and lower lash line also
ended up doing the outer crease and outer lid with a purple from my Dior Night butterfly collection
I also ended up using a matte purple from that also on inner lid and outside of eye
lined upper lash line with Mac Greasepaint stick in B (which is a blue) from the DSquared collection. I used a stiff brush to draw the line on.
lower lash line i used a pencil brush to apply the purple color from Illamasqua
Dior black mascara
Face
Physicians formula green concealer
Physicians formula Healthywear powder foundation
Mac studio fix powder foundation
Elf concealer under eyes
Cheeks
Illamasqua blush in Rumour
Mac On a Mission Blush
Lips
Lip balm
Mac lipstick in Cherish
Illamasqua lipstick in Phropesy
I think that is it....I really love the Mac greasepaint sticks for lining the eyes. They do have a sharpener built into the end of the pencil. Really a nice feature my favorite liners.

Suds N Sass samples
I received my suds n sass samples the other day....lovely colors. I seemed to have a hard time getting them to show up. Is there a trick to really get these colors to pop. I used my detrivore primer which is always amazing and they still didn't give me the intense payoff I was looking for. Any suggestions? The colors look so amazing. I really loved the personal thank you note that came along with the order. Very nice. If anyone has some application suggestions please send them my way. Thanks.....

Missing in action....
Wow have things been crazy....really not too much makeup buying because lots of expenses. Got one child off to college and another in first grade. Been helping a friend getting her new shop off the ground. Grand opening is on Tues. Still lots of items need to come in but overall pretty much done...For me I have been pondering the idea of starting my husbands belt business up again. His grandfather used to make belts leather of course and sell them. My husband took over when grandpa couldn't do it anymore. My husband has been busy with work so he hasn't done it in a while. I am thinking of putting a girly spin on it. It is a lot of work hole punching dyeing and etc but I think it would be fun. I think what I am going to do is take orders over my blog when we decide what to do. When I get a couple together I will post on here and anyone interested you can let me know on here....That is my plan for now...Anyone else have any interesting projects going on?

My Hi Fi Cosmetics colors!!!
As I said yesterday I received my Hi Fi order. I couldn't decide what I was going to use because all the colors look so nice....Here is what I came up with....First....
I applied High Impact Shadow Fix to whole eye
I then patted Pale Jewel on lid....this color looks yellow but when it is applied it is an amazing gold....very pretty...
Crystal Moon was then applied to crease...this is a very sparkly brown color
Outer crease and eye lid I applied Down in the Underground...this is like a green black. A really dramatic color...I want to use it on the lid for an intense look next time..
I blended the the colors softly with a windshield wiper motion but softly as not to remove any of the color.
Finally I used Fyrinnae French Vanilla Shake to highlight and do inner corner of eyes. This blended wonderfully. That color is hands down my favorite highlight. It is almost matte and amazing....
Lined upper lashline with pencilmein eyeliner in Jetsparks
Bottom lash line I used Crystal Moon
Mascara is Dior Diorshow Extase in Black. This mascara is amazing. Very expensive at $28.00 but it really builds my lashes and separates them nicely..
Face
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder Foundation in Creamy Beige
Elf concealer...Love this stuff for a buck
Mary Kay Berry Blush
Lips
Hi Fi Ribbons and bows lip glaze....very pretty and moisturizing...
I am very happy with the look. I ended up mowing my yard this afternoon and it is very warm and humid and my shadow never budged. Still looks great....What have you tried lately that you really love?

Mac look from yesterday...
Yesterday I shopped my own makeup. I decided to use Mac's Young Punk. That color is so hard to work with but I made myself do it. It was a lot of work. I did this look yesterday so I am not exactly sure what I used so please don't shoot me....
Eyes
Primer Detrivore
Nyx jumbo pencil in black bean on lid
Young punk on lid
Crease Mac Stars N Rockets
I used Mac's bisque to blend out the crease and also put it under my brow bone
I used Kat Von D Sugar Skulls to highlight and used on inner corner of eye. That color is in her Memento Mori collection I believe.
Purple and silver liners from Urban Decay on lower lash line only and then ran Sugar Skull under that
Dior black mascara
Face
Dior airflash foundation
Lorac blush in Hot and Spicy
Lips
Sweet Lemon lip butter
Mac Viva Glam Gaga lipstick
Lorac Couture Shine lip gloss in Trendsetter
I might have used Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil also....It leaves a lovely finish but I think it makes me itchy..

The Dior foundation is in a spray can. I found the best way to use it is to apply it to a buffing brush and then kinda stipple it on your face and then blend. A little goes a long way....It is a great product...
I am pretty sure this was it.....What do you think? Has anyone tried young punk?

Favorite lip products right now
Scaly dry lips are so annoying when you want your lipstick or gloss to stay put and look nice. The following products have been working so nice for me and this is how I use them.
Nighttime I use Smiths Minted Rose Lip Balm. Smelling mint when I go to sleep makes me relax and when I wake up my lips are so nice and soft. This container was $8.00 but it will last forever and you barely need to apply any.
Next up is The Body Shop Sweet Lemon lip butter. Wowee this stuff smells like homemade lemon bars that you sprinkle the powdered sugar on. So amazing and I apply this before my lipstick or gloss and it keeps everything in place. Very nice product...Can't remember the price though...Couldn't of been too much...
Those are my favorite lip remedies for now...What are yours?

My morning skin care routine
I so struggle with skin care and products. There is so much out there it makes my head hurt. Having mature skin is even worse because tons of anti aging products and so expensive. Should you waste your money to see if they work. I have pretty much given up so I have kept it basic. I make my focus on sunscreen. Here are the products I use every morning.
I use my Clarisonic skin brush
Purpose cleansing wash
Eucerin Sensitive Skin everyday protection face lotion with SPF 30
Occasionally I use mdskincare 4 in 1 facial treatment wipes for normal/oily skin
I also got a sample with my Dior purchase of Capture Totale One Essential repair serum. I have been trying this in the morning too.
I love the Purpose wash. Very gentle and really cleans. Works great with my clarisonic Doesn't seem to dry me out whatsoever. I am on my third bottle.
The Eucerin lotion works pretty good for me. I have combo to a little oily skin this time of the year and it doesn't make my face greasy under my foundation so that is a plus. It does go on white but I do my eyes before my face makeup wise so it has plenty of time to soak in.
4 in 1 facial treatments are ok. It is a towel that is suppose to take place of washing, toning ,treating and moisturizing your face. Also suppose to give you a matte finish and help keep oil under control. I feel they break me out and just this towel isn't enough for me. Sometimes I will use it like a toner. I don't give this a very good thumbs up....
The Dior serum I think is working pretty good. It seems to make my skin brighter. I will keep trying it. The downside is that it is $95.00. That is steep...I don't know about it....
So basically simplicity has been working for me. I think I am going to keep it that way. What works for you?

Body products on Etsy
I am always on the hunt for good body products that won't break the bank. Normally I am so lazy I don't use lotion because in the winter when you wear jeans you have to wait for it to soak in and then I can't pull my pants up....I hate that....but this time of the year I love to smell good. In search of body products I went to etsy. I love hand made products. I purchased two items from Everyday Diva. She has a lot to choose from trust me and she makes them right before she sends them out. Very nice indeed!!!
The first item is called Drama Free Cleanser. This contains aloe and no sulphates. This I use as a body wash and you can also use for your hair. I have very hard water and it lathers perfectly. The scent is called beach and kinda reminds me of suntanning and ocean. It is a lovely scent.
Next is Ultra Lush Body Butter. This is whipped beautifully. It is organic and vegan. She uses Kokum butter with the Shea butter in this. I believe it works best on wet skin. I am not sure why but when I use it on dry skin after I continue to rub it in it is like my skin is peeling. The only thing I can think of is the kokum butter softens and then hardens and kinda rolls. The smell is amazing. This one is cocoa and lime. Amazing stuff. Since it rolls I use it before bed and that way it just gets on the sheets. The bed ends up smelling amazing.
Shower gel is in a 10 oz. bottle and the butter is in a 10 oz. jar. I highly recommend these products. I am definitely going to purchase again. You can visit EverydayDiva.Net to check out her store. You will love these product.
I believe they were $9.00 a piece. Not sure...Check it out!!!!

Mondays Look.....
Monday's and I don't like each other too much so I decided to do something easy today...I haven't used purples in a while so I used them today!!! Neutrals have been what I have been using lately...yes I know I love color but that bohemian hippie look is on my plate lately....Laid back and easy!!!
Eyes
NYX eye primer
Dior Night Butterfly Palette which consists of 5 shadows
Lid light matte purple
very crease silver color
crease velvety purple
To blend I used Lancome Positive shadow which is a neutral matte shade
Highlight to inner eyes Mac's Gesso
Lined top lash line with Mac's grease paint stick in B from the DSquared collection...it is a blue
Bottom lash line Mac's grease paint stick in Dirty which is a goldish brown and smudged it
inner lash line Gesso
Clinique black mascara
Face
Dior Airflash foundation
The she space concealer
Physicians wear powder foundation
Mac blush in Peachykeen
Lips
Qtica intense lip repair balm
Nyx lip pencil in Pink Nude
I ended up liking this look...very easy and a little dramatic at the same time. The lip pencil is so pretty. I love Nyx's lip products......Hope you have a good day!!!

Shoes, Shoes. marvelous shoes!!!
Let me start off my saying I have always have had a shoe fetish. I love them but never have really bought anything that I really like but all of a sudden I have shoes that I have always wanted to wear.
The first pair is a pair of Via Spiga Espadrille sandals. These were on sale at Nordstroms and I just loved them. I received them last night and wore them today and they are a very nice comfortable shoe believe it or not. This is the most expensive shoe I have ever owned....
The second pair is a great wedge from the Fergie line. I love her style. Always so glamorous and her shoes are great. These were actually my Easter shoes...
This last pair is a pair I got with a 50.00 gift card that I won over at the blog Fansea Pants. This was to be used at the website shoesgotsole.com. These are a cute pair of sandals from Aerosole and they are very cushiony and comfortable.
I actually blame the uprising in shoes on my New York beauty bloggers that I follow...They are such influences but a lot of fun. I realized I can get away with wearing more girly things and feel really good in them. So I hope you enjoy my shoes....You never know I may be getting some more......
